Westwood Robotics
Welcome, visitor. You have reached the home of the Westwood Robotics Team, a fierce posse of young engineers, programmers, and everything in between operating out of Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. We have banded together with one goal: learn and apply whatever skills necessary to accomplish the complex challenges handed to us by the FIRST and BEST robotics competitions. With a vast amount of planning, a surprising quantity of elbow greese, and the odd cramped wrist from the programming team, we trudge forward, determined to leave our mark on the competitions we participate in. Our mission is not complete, though, without bringing the joy of robotics to the next generations so that they can discover and share in similar experiences which will give them a wonderful start into the exciting world of engineering and computer science. Demonstrations are an important part of our goal, and we do everything we can to demonstrate the capabilities of our projects to younger students while showing them what it takes to make it happen, and how they, too, can participate in what we do. All in all, we're a team of Westwood Warriors on a warpath to do what we do best -- design and build awe-inspiring mechanical creations!
