2015 State Championships

westwoodrobotics-e1433381044291 The 2014-2015 school year may have ended, but Team 2478 had one last stretch to go. On May 23rd, our team set out to Prescott Valley Event Center with 30 other Arizona teams to compete in the first-ever Arizona Interathletic Association (AIA) robotics state championship. With only 29 qualifying matches and each team playing six, we Warriors proceeded to rank first and became the captains of the highest seeded alliance. We joined with Kingman's Team 60, the Bionic Bulldogs, and Vale's Team 1812, the Boxerbots. Surpassing semifinals, our alliance faced off with another, each bringing our our best efforts. Finally, with a one-point lead, we came to win gold. The Westwood Warriors could not be prouder, but we couldn't have done it without our gracious partners. We would like to congratulate and thank both of our fellow champions for an excellent game and great teamwork. Let's hope for another great season next year!
