Build Team
Overview
The Build Team, as the name suggests, is responsible for building the robot from start to finish, though the build team works constantly with the Competition Team for design and regulation requirements.
Leadership
Master Chief of Engineering (M.C.E.): The Master Chief of Engineering is the ultimate authority on major decisions made in the construction of the robot. The Master Chief of Engineering must be meticulous, precise, and efficient in his or her work so that he or she can be the model for all other engineering members to follow. The M.C.E. sets the build schedule and is in charge of the delegation of build assignments to the leaders of the engineering sub-teams and sometimes to the individual members of the sub-teams. The M.C.E. coordinates the spending for robot-related expenses. Requests for building materials or tools should all flow through the M.C.E. to ensure accurate spending records.
