Maria is originally from the heart of the Adirondacks, Long Lake, NY. She came to Burlington to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations. Her passions are creatively driven. She believes creativity can be an asset for all types of content creation. Anytime spent away from the computer is dedicated to the outdoors.

  • I currently study Communication with a specialization in Public Relations at Champlain College.
  • I was born and raised in the Adirondacks, NY. Until I was about seven, I thought flip-flops were the only acceptable and most appropriate hiking shoe-wear.
  • I have a houseplant obsession.
  • I love road trips.
  • I have a gray cat named Roo and she’s only nice to me. People don’t understand why I love her so much.

Do you collect anything? If so, what?
T-Shirts. I never wear them but for some reason am emotionally attached to them.

What is your favorite quote?

“All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage…embarrassing bravery.”

What is your favorite Vermont activity?

Visiting local markets, hiking, going to Shelburne Farms and biking on the causeway in Colchester.

Who is your favorite band?
I’m all about discovering new artists, so this is constantly changing. My music taste is usually rotating between three genres: Indie, RnB and Jazz. Favorite artists right now are Remi Wolf and Spacey Jane.

What is your favorite place that you have visited?
New York City. It just feels like home and I always feel most inspired when I’m there.
